Abstract

ABSTRACT

This Lodan saka Segara Kidul novel tells about the crimes committed by the characters in the novel. The topic of crime then attracts the attention of researchers to explore further, because in addition to being written in literary works, crimes are also often found in everyday real life. The formulation of the problem in this study 1) What is the description of crime in the LSSK novel and 2) What is the cause of crime in the LSSK novel?. The purpose of this study is 1) to explain the picture of crime, and 2) to explain the causes of crime in the LSSK novel. This research uses the study of literary sociology, especially those described by Wellek and Warren. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The source data was obtained from the LSSK novel by Kukuh S. Wibowo, while the research data was taken from words, conversations, sentences related to the topic of discussion. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of literature studies. While data analysis techniques are carried out by describing or explaining the facts and the last is concluded. The results of this study explain 1) the picture of crime in the form of physical violence in the form of abuse, threatening and intimidating psychological violence, and murder. While 2) the cause of crime itself there are internal factors in the form of emotions and revenge to avenge death, as well as external factors in the form of the environment.

ABSTRAK

            Novel Lodan saka Segara Kidul ini menceritakan mengenai tindak-tindak kejahatan yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh dalam novel tersebut. Topik kejahatan tersebut kemudian menarik perhatian penliti untuk ditliti lebih jauh, karena selain tertulis dalam karya sastra, kejahatan juga sering ditemukan dikehidupan nyata sehari-hari. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini 1) Bagaimana gambaran kejahatan dalam novel LSSK serta 2) Apa penyebab kejahatan dalam novel LSSK?. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan gambaran dan penyebab kejahatan dalam novel LSSK. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian sosiologi sastra, khususnya yang dijelaskan oleh Wellek dan Warren. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data didapatkan dari novel LSSK karya Kukuh S. Wibowo, sedangkan data penelitian diambil dari kata, percakapan, kalimat-kalimat yang berkaitan dengan topik pembahasan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi pustaka. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan atau menjelaskan fakta-fakta dan yang terakhir disimpulkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan 1) gambaran kejahatan berupa tindak kekerasan fisik berupa aniaya, kekerasan psikis mengancam dan mengintimidasi, dan pembunuhan. Sedangkan 2) penyebab kejahatan itu sendiri ada faktor internal berupa emosi dan dendam ingin membalaskan kematian, serta faktor eksternal berupa lingkungan.
