Fremdwörter dalam Artikel Letzte Generation pada Situs Berita Süddeutsche Zeitung bulan Februari 2023

Abstract

The borrowing of words from one language to another is a common phenomenon due to language contact among language users. Fremdwörter itself refers to nonGerman words based on inflection, spelling, and pronunciation. In analyzing a
foreign word or Fremdwörter, Eisenberg's (2011) theory of foreign word formation is applied, examining the use of suffixes, prefixes, and patterns of compound word formation. Additionally, to enhance the clarity of the analysis, Elsen's (2019) theory is employed, providing more in-depth information regarding the affixes used. The method utilized is a qualitative descriptive method focusing on words or phrases found in the article "Letzte Generation" on the news site Süddeutsche Zeitung. The
results reveal forms of foreign words (Fremdwörter) analyzed in accordance with Eisenberg's (2011) and Elsen's (2019) theories.
