PENERAPAN MODEL GUIDED DISCOVERY PADA MATERI KALOR KELAS X  UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMA AL-MAHADUL ISLAMI

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum 2013 dilakukan bertahap pada sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia. Beberapa sekolah baru menerapkan kurikulum 2013 pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. SMA Al-Mahadul Islami termasuk yang menerapkan pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Studi pendahuluan menemukan bahwa hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X-MIA di SMA Al-Mahadul Islamicukup rendah. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor setelah diterapkan model pembelajaranguided discovery (penemuan terbimbing), mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran guided discovery, dan menyelidiki kendala-kendala yang muncul dalam penerapan model guided discovery. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengandesain “One Group Pretest Postest Design” dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X-MIA 1, 2, dan 3 semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, pemberian soal pretest sebelum dilakukan treatment dan pemberian soal postest setelah dilakukan treatment. Dari data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis uji t-gainuntuk mengetahui signifikansi kenaikan hasil belajar dan menganalisis nilai gain skor ternormalisasi untuk melihat seberapa besar peningkatan hasil belajar pada materi kalor. Dari hasil penelitian dapatdisimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran guided discoverymeningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor di kelas X-MIA SMA Al-Mahadul Islami dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

2013 curriculum implementation is done gradually in schools in Indonesia. Some new schools implement the curriculum in 2013 in the academic year 2014/2015. SMA Al-Mahadul Islami including those applying in the academic year 2014/2015. Preliminary studies found that learning outcomes physics class X-MIA at SMA Al-Mahadul Islami quite low. Therefore, conducted a study to describe feasibility study guided discovery learning, describing improvement student learning outcomes in the material of heat after application of guided discovery learning model, and investigate constraints that arise in the application of models of guided discovery. Type of research is descriptive quantitative research design with "One group pretest posttest Design" with the subject of the research that class X-MIA 1, 2, and 3 academic year 2014/2015. Data were collected through observation, giving about pretest prior to treatment and provision of post-test questions after the treatment. feasibility study guided discovery learning on heat in class X-MIA SMA Al-Mahadul Islami categorized good. From the data that has been obtained and analyzed the gain t test to determine the significance of the increase in learning outcomes and analyze the value of the gain normalized scores to see how much improvement of learning outcomes in the material of heat. From the results, the conclusion that the guided discovery learning model can improving student learning outcomes in heat in class X-MIA SMA Al-Mahadul Islami in the medium category.
