PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA PADA MATERI ALAT-ALAT OPTIK DI MAN I KEDIRI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran problem based instruction. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan menggunakan rancangan one group pretest posttest design. Subjek ujicoba dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 2. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi, tes, dan kuosioner. Analisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif menggunakan uji n gain score dan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based instruction  memperoleh persentase sebesar 85,8% dengan kategori sangat baik; (2) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi alat-alat optik mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil analisis n gain score menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada masing-masing indikator yaitu, kemampuan berpikir lancar (fluency) termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan n gain score sebesar 0,81, kemampuan berpikir luwes (flexibility) termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan n gain score sebesar 0,79, kemampuan berpikir orisinal (originality) termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan n gain score sebesar 0,62, dan kemampuan berpikir merinci (elaboration) termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan n gain score sebesar 0,77; (3) Respon siswa menunjukkan persentase sebesar 86%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based instruction dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

 

This research attempts to describe implementation of learning using model problem based instruction, increasing ability to think creative and response students. The kinds research used in this research is pre-experimental by using the one group pretest posttest design. Subject in this research was a class X Science 2. The method of analysis data is using validation, observation, test and questionnaire. The analysis of students creative thinking skills is using test n gain score and t pairs. The research results show that: ( 1 ) feasibility learning model with using the model problem based instruction obtain the percentage of 85.8 % including to a category excellent; ( 2 ) the students creative thinking skills increase has increasing significantly with standard significant 5%. The results of the analysis n gain score show an increase in the students creative thinking skills on each of the indicators, the ability to think fluently (fluency) is included in the category of high n gain score of 0.81, to think flexible (flexibility) is included in the category of high n gain score of 0.79, to think original (originality) is included in the category of medium with n gain score of 0.62, and to think detail (elaboration) included in the category of high with n gain score of 0.77; ( 3 ) Response students indicate the percentage of by 86 %. Thus, the implementation of model problem based instruction improved the ability to the students creative thinking skills.
