Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Menggunakan Strategi PDEODE untuk Melatihkan Problem Solving Skills Peserta Didik di SMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil pelatihan problem solving skills peserta didik setelah diterapkan model problem based learning (PBL) menggunakan Strategi PDEODE. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif pre-experimental dan menggunakan desain penelitian one grup pretest-posttest, dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 88 peserta didik di SMA Khadijah Surabaya. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan tiga kelas yaitu 1 kelas eksperimen dan 2 kelas replikasi. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan problem solving skills peserta didik adalah lembar soal pre-test dan post-test yang terdiri dari empat soal uraian. Hasil data pre-test dan post-test yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan n-gainĀ­, Uji-t Bepasangan, ANOVA. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa hasil problem solving skills meningkat dengan kategori tinggi dengan perolehan hasil nilai n-gain pada masing-masing yaitu, kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai 0,92 dengan kategori tinggi; kelas replikasi I memperoleh nilai 0,77 dengan kategori tinggi dan pada kelas replikasi II memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,89 dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis Uji-t Berpasangan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil ANOVA menyatakan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan problem solving skills antara kelas eksperimen, kelas replikasi I, dan kelas replikasi II.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of students problem solving skills training after applying the problem based learning (PBL) model using the PDEODE Strategy. This type of research is descriptive quantitative pre-experimental and uses a one group pretest-posttest research design, with a total of 88 research subjects in Khadijah High School Surabaya. The subjects of this study used three classes, namely 1 experimental class and 2 replication classes. The instrument used to measure students problem solving skills is the pre-test and post-test question sheets which consist of four problem descriptions. The results of the pre-test and post-test data obtained were analyzed using n-gain, T-test for casualty, ANOVA. Results of data analysis obtained shows that the results of problem solving skills increased with a high category with the acquisition of the n-gain value in each of them, namely, the experimental class gained 0.92 with a high category; replication class I got a value of 0.77 with a high category and on replication class II obtained a value of 0.89 with a high category. Results on the paired t-test analysis there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. ANOVA results stated that there were differences in the average increase in problem solving skills between the experimental class, the replication class I, and the replication class II.
