Pengembangan Computer Assisted Instructional (CAI) pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Materi Pokok Perkalian Kelas II di SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya

Abstract

Kurangnya penguasaan teknologi pengembangan media interaktif oleh para pengajar, seringkali menjadi penyebab tidak optimalnya proses belajar mengajar di sekolah, sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Salah satu sekolah yang menghadapi problem serupa adalah SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya. Di SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya, ketersediaan alat pendukung pembelajaran bermedia sangatlah memadai, tetapi media pembelajaran yang bersifat teknologi masih sangat terbatas, guru cenderung menggunakan media yang masih sangat sederhana seperti buku siswa dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS).

SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya memiliki fasilitas laboratorium komputer yang memadai. Tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk proses belajar mengajar. Guru hanya menggunakan media cetak dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga siswa kurang tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran karena sifat media yang terlalu verbalistik, khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pokok perkalian.

Dari permasalahan tersebut, diperoleh sebuah alternatif untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu pengembangan media Computer Assisted Instructional (CAI). Sasaran pengembangan yaitu siswa kelas II SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya. Selain menghasilkan produk, dihasilkan juga buku petunjuk pemakaian program Computer Assisted Instructional (CAI).

Data keseluruhan  hasil uji coba menunjukkan media Computer Assisted Instructional (CAI) memperoleh presentase sebesar 85,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subyek uji coba merespon dengan baik media Computer Assisted Instructional (CAI) yang dirancang dan dikembangkan khusus untuk siswa kelas II SD.

Lack of mastery of the technology development of interactive media by teachers, often the cause of no optimal teaching and learning process in schools, so that students have difficulty in understanding the material. One of the schools that are facing similar problems is SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya. SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya in elementary school, the availability of tools supporting bermedia learning is adequate, but innovative learning media is still very limited, teachers tend to use media that is still very simple as student book and paper of student project.

SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya have adequate computer lab facilities. But yet underutilized for the teaching and learning process. Teachers just use print media in the process of teaching and learning so that students are less interested in following learning due to the nature of the media is too verbalistik, particular of times mathematic.

From that problem, obtained an alternative to resolve the issue that is the development of computer media of instruction. Junior high school students: development target of SDN Sambikerep III Surabaya. In addition to producing products, produced also use manual computer program of instruction.

The overall Data trial results show learning computer media obtained a percentage of 85,6 by category very well. A summary of research shows that trial subjects responded with good media learning computer designed and developed specifically for elementary school class II.
