PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA CAI BERBASIS ANDROID UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM MATERI SUHU dan PERUBAHANNYA UNTUK SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 49 SURABAYA

Abstract

Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi di SMPN 49 Surabaya pada subjek ilmu pengetahuan tentang suhu dan perubahan, guru hanya menggunakan metode konvensional untuk menjelaskan pelajaran. Selain itu, media yang digunakan oleh guru hanya buku-buku pelajaran dan buku referensi dari sekolah sehingga siswa tidak dapat memvisualisasikan materi dengan baik dan nilai materi suhu dan perubahan di bawah standar kompetensi minimal. Suhu dan perubahan itu adalah material yang memiliki banyak teori dan visualisasi materi ini harus jelas karena siswa harus dapat memahami dan menggambarkan hal itu. Berdasarkan permasalahan,tersebut membutuhkan media CAI berbasis android. CAI berbasis android adalah penggunaan media komputer dalam pembelajaran dengan sistem operasi perangkat mobile untuk menyampaikan materi pelajaran dan menguji kemampuan mengajar. Oleh karena itu, dengan media CAI berbasis android siswa dapat belajar secara mandiri meskipun tanpa guru. Pengembang media CAI berbasis Android dapat memotivasi siswa agar mereka dapat mengetahui pengaruh media terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Tujuan pengembangan media CAI berbasis Android adalah untuk menghasilkan produk CAI android materi suhu dan perubahan itu tentu saja dalam ilmu dan mengetahui pada hasil belajar siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Sugiyono yang diuji untuk siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 49 Surabaya pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan materisuhu dan perubahan. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen wawancara seperti wawancara ahli media, ahlim ateri, ahli pembelajaran dan instrumen persentase angket siswa. Adapun proses hasil belajar siswa adalah dengan menggunakan rasio siswa hasil sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media CAI berbasis android.

Jenis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, analisis data yang digunakan untuk memproses hasil wawancara dan angket menggunakan skala penilaian, untuk ahli materi pertama yang (100%) menunjukkan kategori sangat baik dan ahli materi 2 adalah (90%) menunjukkan kategori sangat baik. Untuk validasi ahli pembelajaran (100%) menunjukkan kategori sangat baik. Untuk validasi ahli media yang pertama adalah (84%) menunjukkan kategori sangat baik dan media kedua adalah (96%) menunjukkan kategori sangat baik. Hasil pre-test dan post-test adalah 18,62> 0,367. Media CAI berbasis android dapat meningkatkan siswa hasil belajar secara signifikan karena skor post-test lebih besar dari skor pre-test dengan perhitungan lebih besar dari yang 18,620> 0,367.

Abstract

Based on the problems that happened in SMPN 49 Surabaya on the subject of science abouttemperature and the changes, the teacheronly using conventional methods to explain the lesson. Besides that,the media which used by the teacher only textbooks and reference books from the school so that students cannot visualize the material well and the scores of temperature and the changes in below minimum competency standards. Temperature and the changes of it are the material that has many theories and the visualization of this material must be clear because the students should be able to understand and illustrate it. Based on the problems, we need a media CAI based on Android. CAI based on Androidis the use media of computerin the learning with a mobile device operating system for delivering course material and testing the ability of teaching. Therefore, media CAIbased on Androidmakesthe students can learn independently although without a teacher. The developers of media CAIbased on android can motivate the students so that they can know the influence of media on result of study.

The purpose of developing media CAI based on Androidis to produce CAIbased on android product of temperature and the changes of it course in sciences and to know the media using on result of study. The model development which used is a Sugiyono that tested to the students of class VII SMPN 49 Surabaya on the subjects of science in temperature and the changes of it materials. Data collected through the instrument of interview such interviewing media specialists, materials specialists, learning specialists and instrument of the percentage of the students’ questionnaire. As for the process of studentsresult of study by using the ratio of studentsresult before and after usingmedia CAI based on Android.

The type of data are qualitative and quantitative, the analysis of the data that used to process the results of interviews and questionnaires are using the grading scale, for the first matter experts are (100%) it shows very well categorization and experts of material 2 are (90%) it shows very well categorization. For the validation of learning experts are (100%) it shows very well categorization. For the validationof the first media expert is (84%) it shows very well categorizationand expert of second media is (96%) it shows very well categorization also. the result of pre-test and post-test is 18,62> 0.367. media CAI based on Android can increase theresult of studysignificantly because the score of post-test greater than the score of pre-test with calculation greater than that is 18.62> 0.367.
