PENERAPAN MODEL BELAJAR WORD SQUARE PADA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL (IPS) POKOK BAHASAN JENIS PEKERJAAN DAN PENGGUNAAN UANG SEMESTER II KELAS III SDN 3 PATOKAN SITUBONDO

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan model Word Square dalam pelajaran IPS siswa kelas III dalam pokok bahasan jenis pekerjaan dan penggunaan uang, serta membuktikan apakah dengan penerapan Word Square berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III pada mata pelajaran IPS dalam pokok bahasan jenis pekerjaan dan penggunaan uang.
Jenis  penelitian  ini  termasuk  penelitian  eksperimen  termasuk  dalam  True-Experimental,  dengan  menggunakan  desain
Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Desain ini terdapat dua kelompok yang dipilih secara random, kelompok yang diberi perlakuan disebut kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok yang tidak diberi perlakuan disebut kelompok kontrol. Instrumen
pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Obyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN 3 Patokan
Situbondo pada pelajaran IPS siswa kelas III dalam pokok bahasan jenis pekerjaan dan penggunaan uang. Teknik analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian  yaitu  menggunakan analisis uji-t.
Dari data yang telah diambil diperoleh hasil observasi Sangat Baik, sedangakan berdasarkan hasil uji-t dengan menggunakan
taraf signifikan 5%, db=54 diperoleh thitung  4,546, jika dibandingkan dengan harga ttabel  2,004, maka thitung  lebih besar dari ttabel  (4,546>2,004). Sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model Word Square dengan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah dan buku panduan. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Word Square berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe how the application of Word Square model in third grade  on social science subject matter of the kind of jobs and money using, as well as to prove whether the application of Word Square give effect to the learning outcomes of third grade students on social science subject matter of the kind of jobs and using money.
This research is kind of experimental research included in True-Experimental, using the pretest-posttest control group design. There are 2 groups in this designs chosen randomly, group which give a treated is experimental group and group which is not give a treated is control group.
The data collection instrument used is test and the observation. The object of this research is  students of third grade of SDN
3 Patokan Situbondo on social science subject matter of the kind of jobs and money using. The Analysis technique used in this research is using t-test analysis.
From the data is obtained results of observations “excellent”, meanwhile based on t-test result using a significant level 5%,
db=54 obtained tcount,4,546 if compared with ttable  2,004. So tcount  is greater than t table  (4,546>2,004). So that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes experimental group which use Word Square and control group which use
the lecture method and book guide. From those results, concluded that the application of Word Square  is significant effect to the student learning outcomes.
