PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA COMPUTER ASISTED INSTRUCTION PADA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM MATERI KONSEP GETARAN DAN GELOMBANG UNTUK SISWA KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 1 BABAT

Terdapat peristiwa lingkungan yang terjadi di waktu tertentu atau tidak dapat dilihat secara kasat mata peristiwa alam. Buku pelajaran yang dipergunakan di sekolah belum bisa mewakili setiap kejadian alam yang terjadi. Pengamatan tentang konsep getaran dan gelombang memerlukan media gerak yang dapat menjelaskan proses terjadinya. Masalah pengamatan tentang pengetahuan alam terdapat juga di SMP Negeri 1 Babat pada mata ilmu pengetahuan alam materi konsep getaran dan gelombang. Masalah ini didapat dari hasil observasi terhadap siswa kelas VIII-C yang mempelajari materi konsep getaran gelombang. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan rata-rata siswa mendapatkan nilai 65-70, nilai ini dibawah dari standar nilai ketuntasan minimal 75. Sehingga rumusan masalah yang muncul adalah perlunya sebuah media Computer Asisted Instruction (CAI) yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan bagi sekolah, diperlukan uji kelayakan media CAI bagi sekolah, dan diperlukan uji efektifitas media CAI bagi sekolah. Media CAI dikemas dengan bentuk DVD Di dalamnya berisi tampilan yang menjelaskan tujuan yang dikembangkannya media CAI, petunjuk penggunaan media CAI, sebuah penjelasan konsep dan penerapan getaran, gelombang serta parameter-parameternya beserta animasinya yang berupa produk teknologi sehari-hari dan soal-soal yang di buat secara acak sesuai dengan materi.

Model dan prosedur pengembangan R & D (Research and Development) oleh Borg dan Gall dalam Sugiono yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan produk tersebut. Model R & D dapat dipergunakan selama pengembangan karena sesuai dengan tujuan pengembangan media CAI untuk mengetahui keefektifan media CAI yang digunakan di sekolah. Dalam pelaksanaan dilakukan beberapa tahapan, yakni ; review dengan para ahli materi dan media, kemudian di uji cobakan kepada siswa dalam bentuk perorangan, kelompok kecil, dan kelompok besar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik perhitungan PSA(prosentase Setiap Aspek). Sedangkan data eksperimen di hitung menggunakan rumus pre-test dan post-test.

Hasil review kepada dua ahli materi yaitu 86,11 dan review pada ahli media yaitu 82,88. Kemudian pada hasil uji coba perorangan yaitu 96,74 lalu pada kelompok kecil yaitu 92,38 dan pada uji coba kelompok besar 91,09. Hasil data diperoleh menunjukan media layak dipergunakan. Hasil tes diperoleh data 10.14 > 1.69 dapat disimpulkan t₀ lebih besar dari t_0.05. dari hasil tersebut maka dapat diintreprestasikan bahwa media CAI mata pelajaran IPA materi konsep getaran dan gelombang efektif dipergunakan pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Babat. Sehingga media CAI dapat dikatakan layak dan efektif karena berdasarkan kategori yang ditunjukan pada ujicoba yang dilakukan. Media CAI yang dikembangkan perlunya instruksi dalam penggunaannya untuk memudahkan siswa menggunakannya.

Abstract

There are environmental events that occurred at a specific time or cannot be seen by naked eye of natural events. Textbooks used in schools cannot represent every natural occurrence happens. Observations about the concept of vibrations and waves require a medium of motion to explain the occurrence. Problems of observation about the natural sciences are also in SMP Negeri 1 Babat on the science concepts material vibrations and waves. This problem derived from the observation of the students of VIII-C classwere studying the concept of wave and vibration. The data obtained showed an average of 65-70 students get value, this value is below the standard value of 75. So the minimum completeness formulation of the problem that arises is the need for a Computer Asisted Instruction media (CAI) in accordance with the needs of the school, the required due to the diligence of CAI media for schools, and the effectiveness required for schools. CAI media packaged with a DVD. It contains a display that explains the purpose of the development of CAI media, instructions to use CAI media, an explanation of the concept and application of vibration, wave and parameters along with the animation in the form of daily technology products and the problems in create the material randomly.

Models and proceduresdevelopment of R & D (Research and Development) by Borg and Gall in Sugiono used to produce a specific product and the effectiveness test of the product. R & Dmodel can be used during development because it fits with the goal of developing media to determine the effectiveness of CAI media used in schools. In the implementation of several stages, namely; review by the experts and media materials, then tested the students in the form of individual, small group, and large groups. In collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaires, and then analyzed with calculation techniques PSA (Percentage Each Aspect). While the experimental data were calculated using the formula t-test.

The review results of two material experts was 86.11 and reviews on media experts was 82.88. Then the individual test results were 96.74 and then 92.38 at the small group and large group was 91.09. The results of the data obtained showed a decent media used. The test results obtained from the data 10:14> 1.69 can be concluded t₀ was greater than t_0.05. From these results, we can interpret that CAI media materials for teaching science concepts and wave vibration effectively used for Eight Graders of SMP Negeri 1 Babat. So the CAI media can be said feasible and effective because it is based on categories that presented at the trials conducted. CAI media developed needsthe instruction in its use to facilitate the student use.
