PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA COMPUTER ASSISTED INTRUCTION (CAI) PADA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM MATERI POKOK PEMUAIAN KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 34 SURABAYA

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara di SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya, strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah diskusi, ceramah, tanya jawab dan penugasan. Media yang digunakan buku paket. Materi dengan karakteristik proses yang harus diamati seperti materi pemuaian, tidak ada media yang aman untuk dijelaskan di dalam kelas. Sehingga hasil belajar siswa berada dibawah KKM. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) yang layak dan efektif pada materi Pemuaian untuk siswa kelas VII SMPN 34 Surabaya

Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, Hasil angket uji coba produk kepada siswa kelas VII SMPN 34 Surabaya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (a) hasil uji coba perorangan 77,44 (baik), (b) hasil uji kelompok kecil 91,15 (sangat baik), (c) hasil uji coba lapangan 86,77 (sangat baik). Dengan hasil tersebut, media CAI ini layak digunakan. Data hasil tes dari pre-test kelas kontrol dan pre-test kelas eksperimen diperoleh t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel 1,53<2,000 dan hasi dari post-test kelas kontrol dan post-test kelas eksperimen diperoleh t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel 2,73>2,000 maka disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan. nilai post-test eksperimen lebih bagus dari nilai post-test kelas kontrol padahal hasil pre-test kedua kelas tidak ada perbedaan. Sehingga penggunaan media CAI pada kelompok eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Pemuaian kelas VII E di SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya

Abstract

Based on the interview in SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya, learning strategies used are discussions, lectures, discussion and assignments. Media used textbooks. The material with the characteristics of the process that should be observed as the material expansion, no media is safe to be explained in the classroom. Based on these problems, the study aims to produce media CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) which is suitable and effective in Expansion material for students of class VII SMPN 34 Surabaya.

This type of research is the research of development.The results of product testing questionnaire to students of class VII SMPN 34 Surabaya, it can be concluded that: (a) the results of individual testing 77.44 (good), (b) the results of a small group testing 91.15 (very good), (c) the results in field testing 86.77 (excellent). These results refers that the media Computer Assisted Instruction suitable to use. Data from the test results of pre-test grade control and pre-test experimental group obtained t count is smaller than t table 1.53 <2.000 and hasi class of post-test and post-test control experiment class obtained t is greater than t table 2.73> 2.000, we conclude there is a significant difference. post-test experimental value better than the value of post-test control class when the pre-test these two classes there is no difference. So the use of media CAI in the experimental group can improve student learning outcomes in class VII E Expansion material in SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya.
