Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS MATERI CONDITIONAL SENTENCE UNTUK SISWA KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 10 SURABAYA

ABSTRAK

Pada era globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi sangat pesat terutama di bidang informasi dan komunikasi, termasuk SMKN 10 Surabaya. Materi pelajaran disampaikan secara lisan berdasarkan buku siswa yang digunakan untuk menarik minat siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil observasi di sekolah menunjukkan bahwa 30 dari 35 siswa yang tidak lulus KKM dikarenakan sulitnya memahami materi conditional sentence. Nilai KKM yang telah ditetapkan pada SMKN 10 Surabaya yakni 75 sehingga ditarik rumusan masalah bahwa “diperlukan pengembangan media Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris materi conditional sentence untuk siswa kelas XI-APK3 di SMKN 10”.

Langkah-langkah pengembangan menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dari model Sugiyono. Subjek uji coba meliputi ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa kelas XI-APK3. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup dan pre-test post-test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis perhitungan, yaitu modifikasi dari rumus analisis deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil uji coba seluruh subjek, pengembangan media Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) memperoleh nilai 94,23% (sangat baik) dan materi yang disajikan didalam media memperoleh nilai 85% (sangat baik).

Kajian produk yang dihasilkan pada BAB V menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) sudah layak dan efektif dimanfaatkan guru sebagai sarana atau alat untuk menyampaikan materi di dalam kelas.

DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION MEDIA ON CONDITIONAL SENTENCE OF ENGLISH SUBJECT FOR THE STUDENTS OF XI SMKN 10 SURABAYA

ABSTRACT

In the globalization era, technology development grows fast, especially for the communacation and information technology include SMKN 10 Surabaya. The students’s materials are learned by oral and based on student’s books that are used for making the students interested to the in class. The result of the observation at school shows that 30 of 35 students are fail to pass the standart score of KKM because of the difficulties of students understanding of conditional sentences. The score of KKM in SMKN 10 Surabaya is 75. So, we can conclude that is needed Computer Assisted Instruction of media development of SMKN 10 Surabaya for conditional sentences for the student of XI-APK3.

The steps of this media uses Research and Development (R&D) model from Sugiyono’s model. The subject test of the trial are the materials master, media master, and the students of XI-APK3. The collecting data instruments use closed questioner and pre-test post-test. The data analytical technique is using calculating analytic, which is the modify of descriptive anlytic pattern. The data collected from the whole subject test result indicates that the development of using Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) gets 94,23% (very good) and the materials provided within the media get 85% (very good).

The results of product discussion on chapter V indicates that the development of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) has already been suitable and effective for the there teacher to be applied as a tool to convey the lesson during the class.
