PENERAPAN ACCELERATED CHRISTIAN EDUCATION (ACE) MASTERY LEARNING MODEL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA BANNER ENRICHMENT CENTRE (BEC) SURABAYA

Penelitian penerapan Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika siswa Banner Enrichment Centre (BEC) Surabaya. Tingginya kesenjangan pembelajaran dan keragaman siswa menjadi masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklusnya terdapat beberapa tahap, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktivitas supervisor, aktivitas siswa, serta hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model.

Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan catatan lapangan untuk mengukur aktivitas supervisor dan aktivitas siswa, sedangkan untuk hasil belajar siswa menggunakan alat evaluasi berupa tes. Pada kegiatan pengumpulan data peneliti dibantu oleh dua observer. Data dari penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif.

Proses pembelajaran berlangsung baik pada siklus I dan siklus II. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan aktivitas supervisor, yaitu dari persentase 76,05% pada siklus I menjadi 89,33% pada siklus II dengan kenaikan sebesar 13,28%. Aspek aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, yaitu dari persentase 84,34% pada siklus I menjadi 90,81% pada siklus II dengan kenaikan sebesar 6,47%. Pada aspek hasil belajar siswa, untuk siklus I diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 85,81, dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menjadi 88.

Dengan demikian penerapan Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model dapat meningkatkan aktivitas supervisor, aktivitas siswa, serta hasil belajar siswa, sehingga kualitas pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Research with a focus on the implementation of the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model to improve the quality of students learning of mathematics Banner Enrichment Centre (BEC), Surabaya. Learning gaps and diversity of students became the issues. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles and each cycle there are several stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Types of data collected in this study is data supervisor activity, student activity, and student learning outcomes after the implementation of the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model.

The data collection is done by observation and field notes to measure the supervisor activity, also student activity, while for student learning outcomes using an evaluation tool in the form of tests. In the data collection activities of researchers aided by two observers. Data from this study were analyzed by descriptive qualitative.

The learning process takes place both in the first cycle and the second cycle. This was demonstrated by an increase in the supervisor activity, percentage of 76.05% in the first cycle to 89.33% in the second cycle with an increase of 13.28%. Student activity is also increased, which is a percentage of 84.34% in the first cycle to 90.81% in the second cycle with an increase of 6.47%. In the aspect of student learning outcomes, for the first cycle gained an average of 85.8, and increased in the second cycle with the average of 88.

Thus the application of the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Mastery Learning Model can improve the supervisor activity, student activity, and also student learning outcomes, so that the quality of learning mathematics can be increased.
