PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA CAI (COMPUTER ASSISSTED INSTRUCTIONAL) PADA MATERI TEOREMA PYTHAGORAS UNTUK MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS VIII DI SMPN 2 TAMAN SIDOARJO

Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah (1) untuk mengembangkan media CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) yang layak pada Materi Teorema Pythagoras Mata Pelajaran Matematika di SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo. (2) untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan media CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) pada Materi Teorema Pythagoras Mata Pelajaran Matematika di SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara terstruktur, angket dan tes. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan dua kali Uji t.

Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil uji kelayakan media CAI pada ahli materi I dan II, ahli media I dan II, serta uji coba yang diterapkan pada kelompok siswa dapat dikategorikan sangat baik. Berdasarkan kriteria yang ada pada bab III, media yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak. Sedangkan hasil analisis Uji t pertama menguji hasil pretest dua grup, didapatkan t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel yakni 0,88 < 1,993 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada beda yang signifikan antara hasil pretest kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Selanjutnya hasil analisis Uji t kedua yang menguji hasil post test dua grup, didapatkan t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yakni 13,42 > 1,993. Disimpulkan bahwa hasil posttest yang meningkat pada kelas eksperimen merupakan hasil dari penerapan media CAI pada proses pembelajaran. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi Teorema Pythagoras mata pelajaran Matematika di SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The purpose of the development research was (1) developed CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) media that feasible on Theory of Pythagoras for Mathematics lesson at 2 Taman Junior High School Sidoarjo (2) known the effective of using CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) media to the student learning result on Theory of Pythagoras for Mathematics lesson at 2 Taman Junior High School Sidoarjo. ADDIE model was the development model that used by this research. Data collections using structured interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique in this development reasearch use twice T-test.

Based on data analysis, the results of CAI media feasibility test on material experts I and II, media experts I and II, and the experiments applied to the group of students can be categorized very well. Based on the criteria presented in chapter III, the developed media are eligible. While the results of the first t test analysis the pretest results of two groups, obtained t count smaller than t table that is 0.88 <1.993 so it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the results of pretest control class and pretest of the experimental class. Furthermore, the second t test result that tested the post test of two groups, obtained t count bigger than t table is 13,42> 1,993. It was concluded that the result of increased posttest in the experimental class was the result of the application of CAI media in the learning process. So it can be concluded that the media CAI (Computer Assisted Instructional) effectively applied to learning materials Pythagoras Theorem Mathematics subjects at SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo
