PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MATERI POKOK POLA BILANGAN PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS VIII DI SMP TAMAN PELAJAR SURABAYA

Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Materi Pola Bilangan untuk kelas VIII di SMP Taman Pelajar Suarabaya.

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experiment. Metode Pengumpulan menggunakan observasi proses pembelajaran untuk mengetahui proses penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan observasi siswa untuk mengamati aktivitas siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran berlansung. Sedangkan, untuk menguji hipotesis digunakan Uji t-test, dengan Prasyarat sebelum melakukan perhitungan data harus dipastikan telah valid, reliabel, jomogen, serta berdistribusi normal.

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data observasi proses pembelajaran dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan penerapan Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi pokok Pola Bilangan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Taman Pelajar Surabaya. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis yang signifikan kemampuan peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dengan hasil yang diperoleh thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yakni dengan hasil 3,86 >1,990. Dan rata – rata beda kelompok eksperimen (y) adalah 29,88 kelompok kontrol (x) sebesar 22, kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan lebih besar dari pada kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning learning model is one solution that can be used to overcome the problem of low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to find out the Implementation of Problem Based Learning Models can improve Learning Outcomes in Mathematics Subjects of Numbers Pattern Material for class VIII in SMP Taman Pelajar Suarabaya.

This research is a quantitative study with a type of research Quasi Experiment. The collection method uses observation of the learning process to determine the process of applying the Problem Based Learning learning model and student observation to observe student activities during the learning process. Whereas, to test hypotheses a t-test is used, with prerequisites before making data calculations it must be ensured that it is valid, reliable, homogeneous, and normally distributed.

Based on the analysis of observational data the learning process can be concluded that the feasibility of learning is included in both categories. While the application of Problem Based Learning in Mathematics subject matter subject to Number Patterns has an effect on the learning outcomes of grade VIII students in Surabaya Taman Pelajar Junior High School. This is shown from the results of a significant analysis of the ability of students has increased with the results obtained t count greater than ttable namely with the results of 3.86> 1.990. And the average difference in the experimental group (y) was 29.88 control group (x) of 22, the experimental group experienced a greater increase than the control group.
