MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS DAN MEMBACASTENOGRAFI MELALUI METODE PENUGASAN MENULIS DANMEMBACA CERITA PENDEK DI SMK NEGERI MOJOAGUNG

Stenografi merupakan salah satu pelajaran yang diberikan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran.Belajar stenografi acap kali membuat siswa malas karena merasa kesulitan. Salah satu metode penugasan yang memungkinkan siswa dapat tertarik dan berminat terhadap mata pelajaran stenografi adalah dengan
menggunakan metode penugasan menulis dan membaca cerita pendek menggunakan stenografi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru, kemampuan menulis dan membaca stenografi siswa, dan respon siswa terhadap metode penugasan menulis dan membaca cerita pendek.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI- AP1 SMK Negeri Mojoagung berjumlah 36 siswa.Objek penelitian adalah peningkatan kemampuan menulis dan membaca stenografi siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru, lembar kemampuan menulis dan membaca stenografi siswa, dan lembar angket respon siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini, hasil analisis aktivitas guru pada proses pembelajaran siklus I mendapat rata-rata nilai 3,00 kategori baik, kemudian analisis aktivitas guru pada proses pembelajaran siklus II mendapat rata-rata nilai 3,33 kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis peningkatan kemampuan menulis dan membaca stenografi siswa menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal pada aspek menulis sebelum penerapan metode penugasan menulis dan membaca cerpen adalah 63%, pada siklus I 72%, dan pada siklus II 86%, sedangkan pada aspek membaca sebelum penerapan metode penugasan menulis dan membaca cerpen adalah 55%, pada siklus I 72%, dan pada siklus II 80%. Hasil analisis respon siswa terhadap penerapan metode penugasan menulis cerita pendek adalah tanggapan siswa sebesar 73,4% kategori sangat baik, minat siswa sebesar 73,4% kategori baik, motivasi siswa sebesar 79,3% kategori baik, aktivitas siswa sebesar 80,3 kategori baik, disiplin siswa sebesar 80,3 kategori baik, dan tanggung jawab siswa sebesar 79% kategori baik.

Stenography is one of the lesson given in SMK, majoring in office administration. Learn stenography to recognize and master the alphabet with a unique shape often make it difficult for lazy students. One method that make students can be attracted and interested in this subject is method which give them assignment to write a short story using
stenography.This studyaims to determinethe activity ofthe teacher, writingandreadingshorthandTrafficstudents, and the students' response tothe assignment method ofwritingandreadingshort stories.This research is action research. The subjects are students of XI-AP1 SMKN Mojoagung consist of 36 students. The object of this research is to increase the ability of students to write and read stenography. Data collection techniques used are instruments and questionnaires. Data collection techniquesused were observation of teacher activity sheets, sheets of writing and reading shorthand ability students, and student questionnaire responses sheet. The results of this study, the results of the analysis ofthe activity ofthe teacher in the learning processcycle Igotan average value of 3.00 both categories, then analyzes the activity of the teacher in the
learning process ofthe second cyclehadan averagevalue of 3.33 is very good category. The results of the analysis of the increase inthe ability to write and read shorthand students demonstrate mastery on the classical aspects of writing before the application of the method of assignment writing and reading short stories is the 63%, 72% in the first cycle and the second cycle 86%, while the aspect of reading before the application of the method of assignment writing and reading short stories is the 55%, 72% in the first cycle, and the second cycle 80%. The results of the analysis of students' response to the application of the method is the assignment of writing a short story student responses at 73.4% very good category, interest amounting to 73.4% of students categorized as good, 79.3% of student motivation for either category, student activities by category 80.3 good, disciplined students for both categories 80.3, and student responsibility category at 79% good.
