Communication skills are the top attribute sought by companies when recruiting jobs, but education as a forum for developing human resources has not completely equipped students with improving communication skills. This is because there is still learning that uses conventional methods, so that students' communication skills are hampered. One way to improve students' communication skills is to apply the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning model which is characterized by games and tournaments so as to maximize the occurrence of lively communication in the classroom. This study seeks to describe the effectiveness of TGT learning in improving students' communication skills using the literature review method. Based on the results of the literature review that has been analyzed and reviewed, several results can be drawn including: (1) the application of the TGT model learning has the potential to be effective in providing good influence and impact in improving communication skills for vocational students; (2) the application of the TGT learning model has proven to be effective in improving the communication skills of vocational students because the criteria for vocational education are dominated by practical learning rather than theory, in line with the TGT learning concept which has the characteristics of games and tournaments, this is in order to prepare vocational graduates to become workers. who are skilled, active in accordance with their field of expertise and have the opportunity to continue their studies at a higher level.
