Abstract

In Mechanical Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 7 Surabaya, there are obstacles experienced in learning process of lathe subject, namely lack of interest and motivation of students in teaching and learning in classes/workshops and use teaching materials in form of books. So with e-module as learning tool involves more students individually and independently. This study to determine feasibility of media, student responses and effectiveness of e-module in learning outcomes at State Vocational High School 7 Surabaya. Type of research used Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE development model. The method used one group pretest posttest control design. The research conducted involving group randomly selected. The data collection technique used questionnaire validating media feasibility sheets, pre-test post-test sheets to assess effectiveness of learning outcomes and student response sheets. The results studying feasibility of learning media by 3 material experts, media, questions, lesson plans, and questionnaires. The results of feasibility of material experts are 3.8 categories very feasible, media experts are 3.2, the category is feasible, question experts are 3.9 categories very feasible, RPP experts are 3.8 categories very feasible, questionnaire experts are 3.8 categories very feasible, so the results of learning media categorized as very feasible. The student response was 3.5 categorized very good and received positive response. The effectiveness of learning media obtained 0.417 was categorized as medium. So E-module learning media for the practice of lathe as a learning tool for class XI students at State Vocational High School 7 Surabaya can be used as teaching material.
