PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI PADA MATA PELAJARAN PEMELIHARAAN MESIN KENDARAAN RINGAN DI SMKN 1 JABON

Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is an innovative approach that encourages active student participation in the learning process. This study aims to (1) determine the influence of the PBL model on students' learning interest, and (2) assess its effect on learning outcomes in the subject of Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance for grade XI students at SMKN 1 Jabon. The research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The sample includes 66 students selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.

The findings indicate that the PBL model positively influences students' learning interest. This is shown by the posttest average score of learning interest in class XI TKR 1 (69.79), which is higher than that of class XI TKR 2 (67.39). Similarly, the PBL model also positively impacts learning outcomes. The posttest average for learning outcomes in class XI TKR 1 is 83.33, which exceeds that of class XI TKR 2, which is 75.00.
