AKRONIM DALAM REGISTER TNI AD DI BATALYON INFANTERI 500 RAIDER SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak
Dalam dunia  komunikasi,  bahasa  memiliki  peranan  penting.  Di   era   informasi  modern  seperti   sekarang  ini,
masyarakat dituntut untuk melakukan komunikasi secara tepat, cermat, dan hemat.  Penggunaan akronim dalam
bahasa Indonesia sudah menjadi  hal  yang  lazim dan  tidak asing  lagi.  Bahkan,  setiap  lembaga atau organisasi  
memiliki   istilah yang berupa akronim.  Kebutuhan penyingkatan paling  terasa di  bidang angkatan bersenjata,  
kemudian  menjalar   ke   bahasa   sehari-hari.   Produktivitas   pemakaian   bahasa   di   lembaga  militer   seolah-olah
memunculkan  register   tersendiri  yang bersifat  khas.  Banyaknya  akronim pada  register  TNI  AD di  Batalyon
Infanteri 500 Raider Surabaya,  maka penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk (1) mendiskripsikan bentuk-
bentuk akronim pada register TNI AD di Batalyon Infanteri  500 Raider Surabaya (2) mendeskripsikan fungsi  
akronim pada register TNI AD di Batalyon Infanteri 500 Raider Surabaya.
Penelitian  ini  menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif.  Sumber data dalam penelitian  ini  adalah anggota
TNI AD di  Batalyon Infanteri  500 Raider Surabaya. Data yang diambil untuk bahan penelitian ini berupa kata-
kata yang digunakan anggota TNI  AD di  Batalyon  Infanteri  500 Raider  Surabaya.  Pengumpulan data pada
penelitian ini dengan teknik observasi nonpeserta dan teknik wawancara.
Simpulan penelitian ini.  Dari  101 akronim dalam register TNI AD di Batalyon Infanteri  500 Raider Surabaya
terdapat 5 bentuk teratur dan 6 bentuk tidak teratur dari proses pengekaln huruf pertama, 2 bentuk teratur dan 12  
bentuk tidak teratur dari proses pengekalan dua huruf pertama, 2 bentuk teratur dan 9 bentuk tidak teratur dari  
proses pengekalan tiga huruf pertama dan 4 bentuk tidak teratur dari proses pengekalan empat huruf pertama.  
Akronim dalam register TNI AD di Batalyon Infanteri 500 Raider Surabaya memiliki tiga fungsi. Fungsi pertama  
yaitu untuk menyingkat  frasa atau kata sehingga menjadi bentuk kata yang singkat dan mudah. Fungsi  kedua,  
yaitu akronim digunakan dalam bahasa tulis sehingga dapat menghematan tempat untuk penyampaian informasi  
yang diberikan  secara  tertulis.  Fungsi  ketiga untuk mengkomunikasikan  jabatan agar  mengetahui  kedudukan
jabatan antaranggota.

Abstract
In the world of communication, language plays an important role. In the modern information age, as now, people
are required to communicate in a timely, accurate, and efficient. The use of acronyms in the Indonesian language
has become a common and familiar. In fact, any entity or organization have a term in the form of the acronym.
Condensation needs most noticeably in the armed forces, and then spread to everyday language. Productivity of
language use  in  the military  as  if  it  raises  its own  registers  that  are  typical.  The number of  acronyms  at   the
register  in the Army Infantry Battalion 500 Raider Surabaya, the research was done in order  to (1) describe the
forms  of  acronyms  on  the  register  at  the Army  Infantry  Battalion  500  Raider  Surabaya  (2)  describing  the
functions on the registers of Army acronyms in the Battalion 500 Raider infantry Surabaya.
This study used a qualitative descriptive approach.  Sources of data  in this study were members of  the Army  in
the 500th Infantry Battalion Raider Surabaya.  Data were taken for the study material in the form of words used
by member of  the Army  500th  Infantry Battalion Raider  in  Surabaya.  Data collection  in  this study with  the
technique nonpeserta observation and interviewing techniques.
The  conclusions  of   this   study.  Of   the  101  acronyms   in  registers  Army  500th  Infantry  Battalion  Raider  in
Surabaya  there are 5  forms of regular and  irregular shapes of 6 pengekaln  the first letter,  two forms of  regular
and 12 irregular shape of the perpetuation of the first two letters, two forms of regular and 9 forms are not basis
of  the perpetuation of  the first three letters and  four  irregular shape of  the perpetuation of  the first four letters.
Acronym in registers Army 500th Infantry Battalion Raider in Surabaya has three functions. The first function is
to condense the words or phrases that a form of words that is short and easy.  The second function, which is an
acronym used in written language  that can menghematan place  for the delivery of  the information provided  in
writing. The third function to communicate in order to determine a position of office among members.
