PENGARUH JENIS KAIN TERHADAP HASIL JADI MARBLING

Teknik marbling semakin berkembang dengan diterapkannya teknik ini pada kain. Jika teknik marbling diaplikasikan pada permukaan kain untuk memproduksi busana dengan kualitas tinggi, maka kain harus sesuai untuk teknik marbling sehingga hasilnya akan bagus. Kemampuan kain dalam menghasilkan marbling yang tajam dipengaruhi jenis kain itu sendiri sesuai dengan asal serat, tenunan, bentuk permukaan, dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh jenis kain terhadap hasil jadi marbling dan untuk mengetahui jenis kain yang dapat menghasilkan marbling dengan baik. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan eksperimen.Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah jenis kain dilihat dari asal seratnya dan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil jadi marbling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengisian angket dengan instrumen lembar checklist (√) yang diisi oleh 30 responden. Aspek penilaian yang diamati yaitu ketajaman warna marbling pada kain dan daya serap kain. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh jenis kain terhadap hasil jadi marbling dari aspek ketajaman warna. Pada aspek daya serap kain, tidak ada pengaruh jenis kain terhadap hasil jadi marbling karena kain tersebut memiliki kemampuan memindahkan zat cair yang sama. Kain katun paris menghasilkan marbling yang paling baik karena mampu menyerap warna dengan cepat.

Abstract

The marbling technique is increasingly developed by the application of this technique to fabrics. If the marbling technique is applied to the fabric surface to produce high quality clothing, the fabric must be suitable for the marbling technique so the results will be good. The ability of the fabric to produce sharp marbling is influenced by the type of fabric itself in accordance with the origin of the fiber, woven, surface shape, and so forth. This study aims to find the effect of fabric types on the results of finished marbling and to find out the type of fabric that can produce marbling well. This research method is a quantitative study conducted with research. The independent variable of this study is the type of fabric seen from the origin of the fiber and the dependent variable is the marbling results. The data collection method used was a questionnaire with an instrument sheet checklist (√) filled by 30 respondents. The assessment aspects discussed are the sharpness of the color marbling on the fabric and fabric absorption. Analysis of the data used is the Kruskal Wallis technique. The results showed facts about the type of fabric on the finished product in terms of color sharpness. In the aspect of fabric absorption, there is no variation in the type of fabric to the finished product because all these three clothes have the same ability to move liquid substances. Cotton fabric produces the best marbling because it is able to produce color quickly.
