EKSPLORASI MOTIF SHIBORI PADA SCARF

Abstract

ABSTRAK— Shibori adalah teknik menghias kain dengan pola tertentu dengan cara mengikat, menjahit, melipat bahan kain kemudian dicelup kedalam pewarna. Teknik shibori dalam penilitian ini menggunakan itajime shibori, arashi shibori, kanoko shibori, kumo shibori dan nui shibori. Jenis pewarna yang digunakan adalah pewarna sintetis yaitu remasol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil jadi eksplorasi motif shibori pada scarf yang paling sesuai ditinjau dari aspek kesesuaian bentuk, perbandingan ukuran, dan warna motif shibori dengan desain. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner online melalui googleform oleh 30 observer. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian eksplorasi motif shibori pada scarf yang paling sesuai dari keenam desain ditinjau dari ketiga aspek : 1. Aspek kesesuaian bentuk motif shibori dengan desain yang paling sesuai adalah hasil jadi scarf desain 6 dengan perolehan nilai persentase 86.67% yang menunjukkan kriteria sangat sesuai, 2. Aspek kesesuaian perbandingan ukuran motif shibori dengan desain yang paling sesuai adalah hasil jadi scarf desain 6 dengan perolehan nilai persentase 86.67% yang menunjukkan kriteria sangat sesuai, 3. Aspek kesesuaian warna motif shibori dengan desain adalah hasil jadi scarf desain 1 dengan perolehan nilai persentase 84% yang menunjukkan kriteria sangat sesuai. Berdasarkan uraian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil jadi scarf yang paling sesuai ditinjau dari ketiga aspek adalah desain 6 dengan menunjukkan kriteria sangat sesuai pada dua aspek yaitu aspek kesesuaian bentuk dan perbandingan ukuran motif dengan desain

ABSTRACT— Shibori is a technique of decorating fabrics with certain patterns by tying, sewing, folding the fabric, and then dyeing it. The shibori technique in this research used were itajime shibori, arashi shibori, kanoko shibori, kumo shibori and nui shibori. The dye used in this technique was remasol which is a type of syntactic dyes. The objective of this research is to know the result of the most suitable exploring shibori motif on scarf in terms of its shape conformity, size comparison, and the color of the shibori motif with the design. In this case, the research belongs to descriptive qualitative. The data in this study was collected through online questionnaire via google form by 30 observer, then it was analyzed using descriptive percentage. The result of the study showed that; 1. The most suitable shape conformity of shibori motif with the design was the result of the scarf using design 6 which got 86.67% value showing that it was very suitable. 2. The most suitable size comparison of shibori motif with the design was the result of the scarf using design 6 which got 86.67% value indicating very suitable criteria. 3. The most suitable color suitability aspect of shibori motif with the design was the result of the scarf using design 1 which got 84% value showing that it was very suitable. Therefore, based on the result, it can be concluded that the most suitable result of the scarf based on the three aspects is the design 6 which shows the most suitable criteria in terms of the shape conformity and size comparison with the design.
