DARK FANTASTIC IN WEDNESDAY SERIES (2022)

Abstract

This paper analyzes Wednesday series (2022) directed Tim Burton. The purpose of this study is to find five element of dark fantastic in the series. The research question of this study is: ”How is dark fantastic in Wednesday series (2022)?”. Analysis of this study used qualitative studies method and Ebony E. Thomas’ five elements of dark fantastic theory. The result of this study found four elements from five elements as follow, spectacle, hesitation, violence, and haunting. The existential of nihilism that implied in the series reflected in several scene.
