Abstract
Penelitian perihal pengelolaan sampah ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui jumlah jenis sampah organik dan anorganik di Kelurahan Perak Timur, (2) memperoleh gambaran pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Perak Timur, (3) Memberikan rekomendasi untuk menyempurnakan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Perak Timur. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Jalan Indrapura Baru RW 8 Kelurahan Perak Timur Pabean Cantikan Surabaya.
Dari hasil penelitian ini, timbulan sampah organik= 21,66 x 444 Jiwa = 9617,04 gram/hari dan sampah anorganik= 17,77 x 444 Jiwa = 7889,88 gram/hari. Problematika utama adalah bagaimana mengubah paradigma “membuang sampah” jadi “memanfaatkan sampah”. Problematika lain yang teridentifikasi ialah (1) tidak ada penerapan kebijakan pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat dengan prinsip 3R (Re-use, Re-duce, Re-cycle) (2) pemilahan sampah di rumah tangga kurang tuntas.
Timbulan sampah organik di RW 8 berkisaran 9617,04 Gram/Hari setara dengan 9Kg, jadi durasi sampah 164009"> = 45 hari volume sampah penuh ke delam bio reaktor mini. Timbulan sampah anorganik 7889,88 gram/hari maka sampah anorganik yang telah terpilah kan pada masing-masing wadah (kertas, plastik, bungkus makanan dan minuman) akan di ambil oleh petugas sampah. Petugas dengan menggunakan gerobak sampah membawa sampah Anorganik ini dalam keadaan tetap terpilah. Setelah jumlahnya cukup banyak atau gudang telah penuh akan dijual.

Research on waste management aims to (1) find out the amount of organic and inorganic waste in Perak Timur Urban Village, (2) to get the description of household waste management in Perak Timur Urban Village, (3) Provide recommendation to improve household waste management in Perak Kelurahan Perak East. From the result of this research, organic waste generation = 21,66 x 444 Soul = 9617,04 gram / day and inorganic waste = 17,77 x 444 Soul = 7889,88 gram / day. The main problem is how to change the paradigm of "throwing garbage" into "using waste". Other problems identified are (1) there is no implementation of community-based waste management policy with the principle of 3R (Re-use, Re-duce, Re-cycle) (2) the segregation of waste in households is not complete.
The generation of organic waste in RW 8 ranges from 9617.04 Grams / Day is equivalent to 9Kg, so waste duration = 45 days full volume of waste to delam bio mini reactor. Inorganic waste generation 7889,88 gram / day, the inorganic waste that has been separated on each container (paper, plastic, food and beverage wrap) will be taken by garbage officer. Officer by using garbage carts bring this inorganic garbage in a permanent disaggregated condition. Once the number is enough or the warehouse has been full to be sold
