COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SMRF AND DUAL SYSTEMS IN TOWER D OF THE TRANS ICON SURABAYA

In this study, an analysis was conducted on the Tower D building of The Trans Icon Surabaya using two different structural models, namely the SMRF and the Dual System. The building consists of 21 floors functioning as office space and is located on a soft soil site class. The objective of this analysis is to compare the seismic base shear and inter-story drift values between the SMRF and Dual System structural models. The analysis results show that the seismic base shear for the SMRF model is 9594.061 kN in the X-direction and 9594.063 kN in the Y-direction, whereas for the Dual System model it is 16425.224 kN in the X-direction and 16425.335 kN in the Y-direction. The maximum inter-story drift for the SMRF model is 70.813 mm in the X-direction and 64.168 mm in the Y-direction, while for the Dual System model it is 74.662 mm in the X-direction and 45.584 mm in the Y-direction. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Dual System structural model has a greater seismic base shear compared to the SMRF model and a smaller inter-story drift, indicating that the Dual System has a stiffer structural behavior than the SMRF model.
