Model Jejaring Kultural Rumah Budaya Malik Ibrahim Sidoarjo (MI Space)

Abstract

Rumah Budaya Malik Ibrahim Sidoarjo (MI Space) is an independent cultural space that organizes various artistic and cultural practices through the involvement of communities, individuals, and institutions in different forms of collaboration. The existence of MI Space demonstrates the formation of a cultural network that connect diverse actors and encourages the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and cultural resources. This study aims to identify the actors involved in the cultural network of MI Space and their respective roles, describe the patterns of relationships and network structures that have been established, analyze the mechanism of cultural network management, and identify the mechanism of cultural network management, and identify the challenges in maintaining the sustainability of the network. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the artistic and cultural practices at MI Space are organized into four programmatic spaces, namely the Space of the past, the Space of the present, the Space of the future, and the boundless space. The cultural network of MI Space involves various actors in collaborative, participatory, and interdisciplinary relationships. MI Space functions as a shared space that facilitates knowledge exchange, builds trust, and encourages the development of new collaborations. The sustainability of this network in supported by social capital in the form of trust, norm, and networks,a although it still faces challenges relates to resource limitations, partner readiness, and deviations in program implementation.

Rumah Budaya Malik Ibrahim Sidoarjo (MI Space) merupakan ruang budaya independen yang menyelenggarakan berbagai praktik seni dan kebudayaan melalui keterlibatan komunitas, individu, dan institusi dalam berbagai bentuk kolaborasi. Keberadaan MI Space menunjukkan terbentuknya jejaring kultural yang mempertemukan beragam aktor dan mendorong pertukaran pengetahuan, pengalaman, serta sumber daya budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi aktor-aktor yang terlibat dalam jejaring yang terbentuk, menganalisis mekanisme pengelolaan jejaring kultural, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam menjaga keberlangsungan jejaring tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik seni dan kebudayaan di MI Space dikelompokkan ke dalam 4 ruang program, yaitu Ruang Masa Lalu, Ruang Masa Kini, Ruang Masa Depan, dan Ruang Tanpa Batas. Jejaring kultural MI Space melibatkan berbagai aktordalam relasi yang bersifat kolaboratif, partisipatif, dan lintas disiplin. MI Space berfungsi sebagai ruang bersama yang mempertemukan berbagai aktor untuk melakukan pertukaran pengetahuan, membangun kepercayaan, serta mengembangkan kolaborasi baru. Keberlangsungan jejaring tersebut didukung oleh modal sosial berupa kepercayaan, norma, dan jaringan, meskipun masih menghadapi keterbatasan sumber daya, kesiapan mitra, dan deviasi pelaksanaan program.
