Abstrak

Hakikat kehidupan seseorang adalah sebuah proses belajar untuk mejadi lebih baik. Manusia mempelajari sesuatu ketika hidup dan dan mengambil hikmah didalamnya.
Semua proses penciptaan dan proses garap dari karya musik ini mengacu pada semangat baru yang dialami oleh komposer, dan komposer ingin menjadikan semangat baru ini menjadi batu loncatan untuk mengawali kehidupan yang baru yang lebih baik dengan penuh semangat dan meninggalkan masa lalu yang kurang baik. Semangat baru yang dimaksud adalah semangat yang timbul setelah komposer mengalami masa yang kurang baik, dimana komposer tidak bisa maksimal ketika menempuh masa kuliah pada saat semester-semester awal. Komposer ingin menjadikan karya ini sebagai pembuktian kepada semua orang terutama pada dirinya sendiri bahwa komposer bisa berubah menjadi lebih baik. Komposer ingin mengaplikasikan pengalaman tersebut kedalam sebuah karya musik yang berjudul “Move On”.
Pada penulisan ini membahas lebih lanjut tentang tinjauan orkestrasi. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan untuk mengorkestrasi diantaranya memahami materi orkestrasi karakter karya (suasana) dan karakter instrument berdasarkan fungsinya.
Dalam metode orkestrasi terdapat tiga pendekatan yaitu pendekatan transcription, arrangement, dan instrumentation. Pada karya musik “Move On” komposer lebih memilih pendekatan Instrumentation, karena dalam karya musik ini komposer menulis karakter suasana karya karya (suasana) dan karakter instrumentasinya. Terdapat beberapa bagian materi karakter karya (suasana) dan instrumentasi pada karya musik “Move On” yang dijelaskan pada setiap bagian, contoh seperti bagian pertama, kedua, ketiga, dan seterusnya.
Dengan terciptanya karya musik “Move On” ini semoga bisa menjadi refrensi bagi mahasiswa sendratasik dan masyarakat umum sebagai bahan pembelajaran.
