Abstrak

Pelestarian tari tradisional merupakan bagian penting dalam menjaga identitas budaya bangsa di tengah arus modernisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya pelestarian, metode pengajaran, serta peran pendidikan dalam mempertahankan teknik dan nilai budaya tari tradisional di kalangan peserta didik;mengidentifikasi penyajian gerak tari tradisional; serta mendeskripsikan proses penciptaan karya tari secara kontekstual dan kreatif di Sanggar Tatari Indria, Trenggalek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanggar menerapkan pembelajaran bertahap berbasis nilai budaya lokal, penyesuaian gerak tari untuk memudahkan pemahaman siswa tanpa menghilangkan makna filosofis, serta penciptaan karya baru seperti Tari Trenggalek Kinasih sebagai bentuk aktualisasi budaya tradisional. Sanggar Tatari Indria berhasil membentuk ekosistem pelestarian tari yang adaptif, inovatif, dan berkelanjutan melalui pendidikan nonformal.
