                                                                                                    Abstrak                         

Penelitian mengkaji tentang studi geografi serta tanggapan masyarakat terhadap rencana lokasi pembangunan TPA di Kelurahan Blooto Kecamatan Prajuritkulon Kota Mojokerto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kelayakan rencana lokasi pembangunan TPA di Kelurahan Blooto berdasarkan tinjauan geografinya, (2) tanggapan masyarakat terhadap rencana pendirian lokasi TPA di Kelurahan Blooto Kecamatan Prajuritkulon Kota Mojokerto

Lokasi penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah wilayah Kelurahan Blooto Kota Mojokerto secara administratif.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif fenomenologis, yang dilakukan dengan mengolah data primer dan data sekunder berupa dokumen dari instansi-instansi terkait serta data primer dari wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan di lapangan.Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui kondisi geografis lokasi TPA serta tanggapan masyarakat terkait pembangunan TPA tersebut.

Temuan dari penelitian ini dideskripsikan sebagai berikut. (1) Studi geografi dari lokasi TPA ini menunjukkan bahwa lokasi ini memiliki tingkat kemiringan kelerengan lahan yang rendah sahingga termasuk daerah dataran rendah, memiliki jenis tanah alluvial, kedalaman air tanah pada kedalaman 10-25 meter dengan persentase penggunaan konsumsi air tanah yang tinggi yaitu 85 % dari total rumah tangga yang ada, dimana lokasi rencana penempatan TPA berada pada radius 1 km dari pemukiman warga, dengan akses jalan menuju lokasi adalah melalui jalan utama pemukiman warga. (2) Tanggapan masyarakat menyangkut informasi rencana pembangunan TPA telah diketahui hampir oleh seluruh warga kelurahan Blooto, dimana sebagian besar warga menerima rencana pembangunan TPA dengan beberapa syarat yaitu meliputi jaminan kualitas lingkungan, kesehatan masyarakat, pembangunan jalan lain tanpa melewati jalan utama pemukiman warga, dan harga ganti rugi  yang tinggi untuk lahan warga yang tergusur.

        Location of the study in this research is the area of ​​the Village Blooto Mojokerto administratively . The research is a qualitative phenomenological , which is done by processing the primary data and secondary data in the form of documents related agencies as well as primary data from in-depth interviews were conducted in the field .          The findings of this study are described as follows . ( 1 ) Study the geography of the location of the garbage landfills indicates that this location has a slope lower slope steepness  including low-lying areas , have alluvial soil types , depth of ground water at a depth of 10-25 meters with the percentage of high groundwater consumption is 85 % of total households , where the location of the assignment of the landfill is located at a radius of 1 km from residential areas , with the access road to the site is the main road through the residential area . ( 2 ) information regarding the community response plan to build a landfill has been known by most people Blooto village , where most of the residents receiving garbage landfills development plan with several conditions that include quality assurance environment , public health , road building another without passing through the main street residential areas , and high compensation price for land displaced  people.
