ILLUSION WAVES PADA BUSANA PESTA WANITA

Abstract

Illusion waves dari the wave Arizona menginspirasi pembuatan sebuah busana pesta wanita. Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui proses perwujudan illusion waves pada busana pesta wanita dan mengevaluasi hasil jadi illusion waves pada busana pesta wanita. Penelitian penciptaan karya melewati proses metode rekayasa produk busana pesta meliputi menentukan sumber ide, perencanaan warna, desain busana, sasaran pasar dan rencana bahan. Illusion waves pada busana wanita diterapkan dalam dua teknik yaitu, yang pertama gradasi warna dengan teknik printing dan pleating. Teknik kedua yaitu penerapan gradasi warna pada layered skirt. Pembuatan bahan pleating yang melalui proses printing dan pleating (lipit lidi), lalu dibentuk dan di-maping sesuai dengan gambaran illusion waves, serta dilekapkan ke busana pesta wanita menggunakan tusuk jelujur dengan jarak tiap jahitan berbeda. Sedangkan untuk layered skirt, dimulai dari proses membuat pola lingkar, menjiplak pola pada bahan, memotong bahan dan menjahit setiap layer satu persatu sesuai dengan tingkatan warna the wave Arizona. Hasil perwujudan menunjukan bahwa penerapan lekapan pleating pada bagian depan rok yang bergelombang dan juga permainan gradasi warnanya berhasil memperindah penampilan busana dan menambah nilai estetika seni yang membentuk illusion waves. Selain itu, penambahan layered skirt pada busana pesta wanita dengan menerapkan permainan gradasi warna juga mampu menciptakan illusion waves.

Illusion waves from the wave Arizona inspired the making of eveningwear. The purpose of this study was to know the process of an embodiment of illusion waves in women eveningwear and evaluating the results of an embodiment of illusion waves in women evening wear. Research on the creation of making a women eveningwear goes through the methods, including determining the source of ideas, color planning, fashion design, target markets, and material plans. Illusion waves in women party dress are applied in two techniques. The first technique is color gradation with printing and pleating techniques. The second technique is the application of color gradations on a layered skirt. Making pleating materials through printing and pleating (accordion pleats), formed and mapped according to portray of illusion waves, and attached to an evening dress using a baste stitch with different spacing of each stitch. Furthermore, for the layered skirt, it starts with the process of making a circle skirt pattern, tracing the pattern on the material, cutting the material and sewing each layer one by one according to the color of the wave Arizona. The embodiment results show that the application of pleating fissure on the front of the skirt and the color gradation succeeded in beautifying the appearance of women's eveningwear and adding the aesthetic value of art that forms illusion waves. Meanwhile, the addition of layered skirts to women's eveningwear by applying color gradations can create illusion waves.
