Humans are social creatures who need communication in everyday life. The means to communicate is
language. This article determines the formulation of the problem, namely the forms of expressive speech
acts in the Haikyuu!! with the aim of describing various forms of expressive speech acts in Haikyuu!! in
order to know examples of expressive speech acts in Haikyuu!! Anime. With the observation method used
to search research data, 31 data have been found from the Haikyuu!! Anime data source. totaling 25
episodes. There are many expressive speech acts of the type of 'thank you' which consists of being willing
to do what is asked and kindness, 'complaining' which consists of suffering because of suffering and
because of disappointment, 'congratulations' consisting of giving a special welcome and getting something,
'commending ' which consists of conforming to reality, wanting to relieve the heart, wanting to seduce, and
wanting to please, 'blaming' which consists of making mistakes and getting away from mistakes, and
'criticizing' which consists of disagreeing and not liking.
