Abstract
There are many ways to convey ideas and thoughts so that the meaning of message can reach the listener.
For example, by using a literary work such as song lyrics. The lyrics of the song that are beautifully packaged
and pitched can convey the message of meaning in it. Of course, this cannot be separated from the use of
language as a means of communication between speakers and listeners. This semantic became an important
pioneer in the translation of the meaning of language. Therefore, this study was conducted to find out the
meaning of language in one of the works on which data was sourced from the album traveler which
popularized by a famous Japanese band, Official 髭男 Dism. The meaning of the language studied is the
denotative meaning and the connotative meaning in the collection of song lyrics on the traveler album. The
research was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner by describing the data with a complete and
systematic description. From the research conducted, there are 39 data from 10 data sources of traveler
albums including 13 data from denotative meaning contained in 6 data sources. In addition, there are 26 data
of connotative meaning contained in 10 data sources. Then the connotative meaning is also divided into two
part. First is the positive connotative meaning there are 14 data from 8 data sources. Second is the negative
connotative meaning there are 12 data from 8 data sources. The results of the research on song lyrics with
the most denotative meanings are found in the song title Pretender and Last Song which has 3 data. While
the least denotative meaning was found in the song title song Bad For Me which has only 1 data. Then the
most connotative meanings are found in the song title Shukumei song which has 5 data and in other songs
on average there are 2 data.

メッセージが聞き手に届くように、アイディアや考えを伝える方法はたくさんある。たとえば、歌詞などの文学作品
である。美しくパッケージ化され、ピッチングされた歌詞は、その作品のメッセージを伝えることができる。もちろん、こ
れは話し手と聞き手の間のコミュニケーションとしての言語使用と切り離すことはできない。これは言語の翻訳に
おける重要な先例となった。そしてこの研究は、日本の有名なバンド Official 髭男 Dism によって人気を博した
Traveler Album データが提供した作品の一つで言語の意味を見つけるために行われた。研究された言語の意
味は、Traveler Album の歌詞のコレクションにおける明示的意味と暗示的意味である。調査は、完全かつ体
系的な説明でデータを説明することにより、定性的に説明的な方法で実施された。実施された調査から、6 つの
データソースに含まれる明示的意味からの 13 のデータを含む、Traveler Album の 10 のデータソースからの 39 のデ
ータがある。さらに、10 のデータソースに含まれる暗示的意味の 26 のデータがある。次に、暗示的意味も二つに分
けられる。一つ目は、8 つのデータソースから 14 のデータがあることを暗示的意味の肯定的な意味である。二つ目
は、8 つのデータソースから 12 のデータがあることを暗示的意味否定的な意味である。最も明示的意味を持つ歌
詞の研究結果は、3 つのデータを持つ曲タイトル Pretender と Last Song にある。最もわかりにくい意味は、データ
が 1 つしかない曲のタイトル曲 Bad For Me にある。そして、最も暗示的意味は、5 つのデータを持つ曲タイトルの
宿命の曲にあり、他の曲には平均して 2 つのデータがある。
