KEIGO DALAM FILM KAGUYA HIME NO MONOGATARI KARYA ISAO TAKAHATA

Abstract

In general, keigo is used in the scope of work or business. However, it is not uncommon to find the use of keigo in Anime or movies. As in the movie entitled Kaguya Hime no Monogatari, a film by Studio Ghibli written and directed by Isao Takahata which was released in 2013. Kaguya Hime no Monogatari is a film based on folklore so that there are many uses of Keigo in the dialog used. This research aims to analyze the type of keigo used, as well as the context of the use of keigo in the conversation of Kaguya, the Emperor, and five nobles. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data source used is in the form of fragments of conversations between Kaguya, the Emperor, and five nobles. The results obtained in this research are found 8 data that use Keigo ‘Kenjougo’. The use of keigo in this research depends on the context of the situation that occurs in the conversation of Kaguya, the Emperor, and five nobles. And in this research, the use of keigo is influenced by the factor of the difference in social status and the level of familiarity of Princess Kaguya, the Emperor, and the five nobles.
