A Pragmatic Analysis of Directive Illocutionary Acts of the Imperative Type in the Anime Shirobako by Kenji Sugihara

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi direktif jenis imperatif dalam anime Shirobako. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa dialog anime Shirobako episode 1–12. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode simak dan teknik catat. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori tindak tutur direktif imperatif dari Sutedi dan didukung dengan analisis konteks pragmatik.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 68 data tindak tutur ilokusi direktif jenis imperatif yang terdiri atas 33 tuturan perintah (meirei), 6 tuturan larangan (kinshi), 14 tuturan permohonan (irai), dan 15 tuturan ajakan (kanyuu). Bentuk tuturan tersebut ditandai dengan pola bahasa Jepang seperti ～てください, ～ないでください, ～なさい, ～ましょう, dan ～おう. Selain digunakan untuk memberi instruksi, tuturan tersebut juga menunjukkan hubungan sosial dan pola komunikasi kerja dalam lingkungan industri animasi Jepang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of directive illocutionary acts of the imperative type in the anime Shirobako. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data sourced from the dialogues in episodes 1–12 of the anime Shirobako. Data collection was conducted through observation and note-taking. The data were then analyzed using Sutedi’s theory of directive imperative speech acts, supported by pragmatic contextual analysis.

The results of the study indicate that 68 instances of directive imperative illocutionary speech acts were identified, consisting of 33 commands (meirei), 6 prohibitions (kinshi), 14 requests (irai), and 15 invitations (kanyuu). These speech acts are characterized by Japanese linguistic patterns such as ～てください, ～ないでください, ～なさい, ～ましょう, and ～おう. In addition to being used to give instructions, these speech acts also reflect social relationships and patterns of workplace communication within the Japanese animation industry.

要旨

本研究の目的は、『SHIROBAKO』に現れる命令表現の指示的発話内行為の形式および機能を明らかにすることである。研究方法には記述的質的研究法を用いた。データは『SHIROBAKO』第1話から第12話までの会話文から収集した。データ収集には視聴法と記録法を使用し、分析にはSutediの命令表現理論および語用論的コンテクスト分析を用いた。

　分析の結果、合計68件の指示的発話内行為が確認された。その内訳は、命令（命令形）が33件、禁止が6件、依頼が14件、勧誘が15件であった。これらの表現には、「～てください」「～ないでください」「～なさい」「～ましょう」「～おう」などの文型が用いられていた。また、これらの発話は単なる指示だけでなく、日本のアニメ業界における人間関係や職場でのコミュニケーションの特徴も表していることが分かった。
