ANALISIS IMBUHAN (接辞 ; SETSUJI) PADA KONSTRUKSI NOMINA DALAM BUKU TEKS MINNA NO NIHONGO

Abstract

This study aims to analyze setsuji (affixes) in noun constructions found in the Minna no Nihongo textbook. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data sources were the Minna no Nihongo textbooks. The research data consisted of noun vocabulary containing prefixes and suffixes. Data were collected through the observation and note-taking techniques. The data were then analyzed by identifying, classifying, and describing the forms and meanings of setsuji based on the theory of Japanese morphology. The results show that the affixes found in the data consist of settouji and setsubiji. Each affix has its own function and meaning depending on the base word to which it is attached. This study concludes that setsuji play an important role in the formation of noun constructions because they not only create new vocabulary but also add new meanings to the base words. Therefore, the findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for further studies in Japanese morphology, particularly those related to noun formation through setsuji.
