ABSTRAK
Keterampilan teknik dalam bermain tenis meja merupakan hal yang paling dibutuhkan oleh semua atlet maupun bagi pelatih yang harus dapat memenuhi kebutuhan anak didiknya, agar bisa mencapai prestasi yang tinggi dalam cabang olahraga tenis meja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan teknik yang dibutuhkan oleh atlet maupun pelatih, serta menyimpulkan teknik apakah yang paling dominan dipakai oleh pemain yang mempunyai rangking nomor 1 di dunia dalam cabang olahraga tenis meja. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian non eksperimen analisis deskripstif dengan rumus persentase. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah pemain yang telah mempunyai rangking nomor 1 dan nomor 11 di dunia, yang bertanding di kejuaraan grand final men’s world cup.
Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dari analisis teknik yang paling dominan digunakan dalam pertandingan yang sebenarnya. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut ini : teknik spin (44,179%), teknik Block (4,477%), teknik Chop (26,866%), Push (14,036%), Drive (10,448%). Data diperoleh dari nteknik dibagi dengan ∑jumlah teknik dan dikalikan 100% rumus persentase.

ABSTRACK
Technical skills in playing table tennis is the thing that is most needed by all athletes as well as for the coach who should be able to meet the needs of his protégé, in order to achieve a high accomplishment in the sport of table tennis. The purpose of this study was to describe the technique required by the athletes and coaches, as well as conclude what most dominant technique used by players who have a rank No. 1 in the world in the sport of table tennis. This research uses a type of experimental research of non-deskripstif analysis with the formula percentages. The subject in this study is that players who have had a rank number 1 and number 11 in the world, who competed in the Championship grand final men's world cup.
The results of this research were obtained from the analysis of the most dominant techniques used in the actual game. As for the research results obtained are as follows: the technique of spin (44,179%), the engineering Block (4,477), engineering (Chop 26,866 per cent), Push (14,036%) Drive (10,448 percent). Data obtained from the ntechnique divided by the total number of ∑the technique and multiplied 100% percentage formula.
