Abstract

Football is a game that is played by kicking the ball and playing by the player. In doing the sport, soccer had to have 4 factors that affect it, namely physical, technical, tactical and mental abilities (psychology). The impact of Covid-19 has been reducing readiness starting from physical, technical and tactical abilities. The most important thing that must be emphasized is self-confidence, although readiness was lacking if the level of confidence was good it could certainly maximize the abilities of individual players. This study aims to determine the level of confidence in the mental readiness of football players in the League 3 postponement due to Covid-19 at Mitra Surabaya. This research was a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The method used in this research was a survey method and data collection techniques using a closed questionnaire. The population in this study was called the total sampling, so the population was the soccer players at Mitra Surabaya in the senior category who are registered to take part in the League 3 competition, namely 25 people. The results of the research with a series of tests showed that Mitra Surabaya player had a level of confidence in the mental readiness of football players at Mitra Surabaya which was included in the “FAIR” category. The results showed that the level of confidence in the mental readiness of football players at Mitra Surabaya were 2 players or a percentage 8% in the “very high” category, 5 players or a  percentage 20% belonging to the “high” category, 11 players or a percentage 44% in the “fair” category, there are 6 players or a percentage 24% are in “low” category, there is 1 player or a percentage 4 % are in the “very low” category.
