Abstract

Many factors can influence pencak silat athletes to win in a match, one of which is having the ability to speed C kicks. In doing this kick requires good concentration and also the ability of the body to have good explosive power so that the kicks will be faster and also. effective when athletes collect points in pencak silat matches. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the contribution of the concentration and the explosive power of the leg muscles to the kick speed C of the PSHT rayon GBI Surabaya pencak silat athletes. This research is a Correlational study with a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all athletes of the PSHT Rayon GBI Surabaya who were still actively practicing, with a total of 20 people. The instruments used in this study were the Grid Concentration Test questionnaire to measure the athlete's concentration level, the Vertical Jump to measure the explosive power of the leg muscles, and the sickle kick test to measure kick speed. Data analysis techniques using Person Product Moment correlation. Based on the correlation analysis between the contribution of the concentration and explosive power of the leg muscles to the kick speed, it can be seen that the significance value for the effect of X1 and X2 on Y is 0.00 <0.05 and the F value is 22.31> F table 3.55, then It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the contribution of the concentration and explosive power of the leg muscles to the kick speed C of the PSHT rayon GBI pencak silat athletes. The contribution obtained from variables X1 and X2 to Y resulted in a contribution of 72.4%.
