Karang Taruna is a social organization in rural communities that functions to mobilize and channel the participation of the younger generation in development. There is a lot of free time that must be used by the younger generation to carry out recreational activities so as not to waste time. This study aims to determine the use of free time for recreational activities for youth groups in Tahunan Village, Sale District, Rembang Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method with the instrument used in the form of a questionnaire. The population research subjects used were youth youth groups with a total of 15 people, consisting of 30 questions. The indicators of this research include eight aspects, namely: freedom without pressure, rest and entertainment, lifestyle, increasing self-potential, physically and spiritually refreshing, needs of each individual, mental and emotional, voluntary activities. According to the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of free time for recreational activities is categorized as sufficient. Judging from the average indicator of freedom without pressure with a percentage of 55% in the sufficient category, the indicator for rest and entertaining with a percentage of 31.67% in the less category, the lifestyle indicator with a percentage of 40% in the less category, the indicator of increasing self-potential with a percentage of 40% in the less category , indicators of physically and spiritually refreshing with a percentage of 41.67% in the sufficient category, an indicator of the needs of each individual with a percentage of 55% in the sufficient category, mental and emotional indicators with a percentage of 44.44% in the sufficient category, indicators of voluntary activities with a percentage of 48.33% in the sufficient category.
