ANALISIS PENYEBAB KEKALAHAN DARI FAKTOR KEGAGALAN SHOOTING ON TARGET MANCHESTER UNITED VS PARIS SAINT GERMAIN DI UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2020

Football is a sport that is loved by people all over the world. This sport is a big ball game where there are two opposing teams, each team in the match has 11 including the goalkeeper and there is a maximum of 7 substitutes. Football is a sport that involves physical activity (body contact). In football or any sport that is played, there must be a winning or losing position. This study aims to conduct a video analysis of the football match between Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain in the 2020 UEFA Champions League, the final score of the 1-3 match was won by Paris Saint Germain. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with data collection techniques and statistical tables that focus on ball possession, passing and shooting on target. In this match Manchester United used a 4-2-3-1 formation and Paris Saint Germain used a 4-3-3 formation. The result of the match in the knockout round of Manchester United was eliminated by Paris Saint Germain. This study focuses on the analysis of shooting on target, Manchester United did possession of the ball with a percentage of 44%, shooting on target 5 times and 1 goal occurred. Meanwhile, the Paris Saint Germain team had 56% possession and 6 shooting on target and 3 goals in it. The conclusion is that Manchester United's defeat occurred in terms of quality to maximize shooting on target which was still very poor from every opportunity that had been created and less solid in terms of Manchester United's defense. This article is intended for reference to the quality analysis of shooting on target.
