Abstract

Final students who are compiling their thesis/final project are individuals who are very susceptible to stress. Stress problems can come from oneself, family, friends, education, and the environment. Stress management efforts are carried out to help reduce the negative impact of stress, one of which is by doing physical activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of physical activity and the level of stress in final students at the Faculty of Sports Science. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative correlation research with a cross-sectional design. . The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 39 students who were obtained from the 2018 student population of the Faculty of Sports Science. The instrument used is a questionnaire about physical activity using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and a questionnaire about stress levels using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). Data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software application. The results based on the Pearson test that physical activity and stress levels do not have a correlation, this is due to the value of Sig. 0.265 > 0.05. The conclusion is that there is no significant correlation between physical activity and stress.
