Abstract

The bowler is a key player in cricket, the bowler must have good skills in terms of speed and accuracy. The better the bowling skill possessed by the bowler, the more difficult it is for the opposing batsman to get runs and also the easier it is to make outs. Good and bad bowling results are indicated by not going wide and no ball. On the other hand, if the bowler does a lot of wide and no balls, the situation will worsen. Especially when the match is on an international scale, a bowler must be required to play well. The purpose of this study was to determine the bowling failure of the Indonesian national team against Thailand in the T20I (twenty 20 international) cricket match in the Malaysia 2017 sea games. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive study where research only describes what is about a variable, symptom or circumstances. The instrument used is the video of the Indonesian national team against Thailand in the T20I (twenty 20 international) cricket match at the Malaysia 2017 sea games. The failure was when the athlete used the pace bowling, off cutter, and leg cutter techniques. While the greatest success rate is when athletes use the pace bowling technique with a success percentage of 51%. In addition, Indonesian players who are the focus of bowling are frangkie and gamantika who both play in 4 over matches with a success percentage of 19%.
