Abstract

Abstract

Proper and regular physical activity is good for the health of the body, including increasing VO2 Max. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity and VO2 Max on the men's futsal team during the Covid 19 pandemic. Physical activity data were collected using an international physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ) and distributed online via google forms to the subject. Multistage Fitness Test (MFT), with 12 children as research subjects. This type of research uses an analytic observational method with a cross sectional study approach. Analysis of the data in this study, namely the mean, standard deviation, minimum value, maximum value, and correlation test using Kendall's Tau b. The distribution of the frequency of physical activity obtained results for the heavy category with METs≥1500 values being 4 (33%), moderate category with METs≥600 values for 3 children (25%), mild category with METs values <600 5 children (42%). The distribution of the VO2 Max frequency obtained results for the good category of 2 children (17%), moderate category 7 children (58%), poor category 3 children (25%). Correlation analysis using Kendall's Tau b correlation test with IBM SPSS for Windows with a correlation value of 0.839**, and a value of Sig (2-tailed) <0.001. It can be concluded that the physical activity of the SMA N 1 Paciran futsal team during the Covid 19 pandemic was included in the category of low physical activity. The fitness level or VO2 Max of the men's futsal team of SMA N 1 Paciran during the Covid 19 pandemic is included in the moderate fitness category. The correlation between physical activity variables and VO2 Max is significant or real, very strong, and unidirectional.
