Abstract

The quality of life of children is determined by their daily health behavior, both in physical and psychological conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity and children's quality of life. The method in this study uses descriptive quantitative survey method. A total of 97 samples participated in this study. The Physical Activity Questionnaire-Children (PAQ-C) was used to measure children's physical activity. While the quality of life in children using the KidKINDL instrument. Data analysis using Spearman bivariate analysis. The results showed that on average the children did physical activity with light to moderate intensity as many as 72 children (74.2%). The item category of children's physical activity was the highest with a mean score of 4.93 (±1.92). The category of physical activity at lunchtime was the lowest with a mean score of 2.30 (±1.38). The total mean mean for the PAQ-C questionnaire was 3.22 (±1.29). Then the HRQoL of social support is the highest value with a mean of 14.78 (±3.19). The lowest value in the table is on the physical welfare scale with a mean value of 9.52 (± 2.19). The average in the children's quality of life questionnaire was 11.87 (±2.99). There is a fairly unidirectional correlation between physical activity and quality of life as indicated by the number 0.259, with the probability on the p-value showing the number 0.011. The conclusion of this study is that physical activity provides various benefits and positive effects on the survival and health of children. Meanwhile, from all HRQoL dimensions, it can be concluded that there is a correlation or linkage in determining the quality of life of children.
