Abstract

This research is caused by the relatively modern era, people are more interested in games that are easy to find or have advanced equipment or materials, which reduces the interest of many people to participate in traditional games and is likely to make negative perceptions of traditional games. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative, using data collection techniques through questionnaires that have been made through google forms to help respondents to fill the questionnaires. The sample of this study was students of UNESA’s sports science class a b c d 2019 with a total of 61 respondents. The results of the data obtained showing that students’s knowledge about traditional games are 100% of traditional games can be fun, 95% are easy to play, 97% are done in various circles, there are no negative aspects and do not have a bad impact. In traditional games that are presented 100% of the results required cooperation and strategy and can improve physical fitness. A large percentage stated that traditional games deserve to be contested and everyone should continue to play an active role in traditional games
