Abstract

Asean football federation (AFF) is a biennial Southeast Asian international football championship which was held for the first time in 2005. In 2019 the Indonesian U-22 national team managed to get a victory. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors of the victory of the Indonesia U-22 national team and the failure of the Thailand U-22 national team in the 2019 AFF cup. Using quantitative descriptive methods and collecting data is done by observing re-recorded videos from the CCN NETIZEN youtube channel. Then the author's data is concise to be processed and presented as a result of the analysis. Talking about data, we will work with a branch of statistical science which includes how to collect data, summarize data, process and present data, how to draw conclusions in determining risk limits based on the results of existing data. The difference is that the statistics run are data that is in sporting events, and if it's in football, it relates to data when the match takes place or during practice. In this match, although the Thai national team was able to balance the game presented by the Indonesian national team in the first round, the Indonesian national team dominated the match more than the Thai national team in the second round. This is evidenced from the statistical data above, one of which is the percentage of ball possession won by the Indonesian national team with a value of 59% while the Thai national team was only able to get 41%. In addition, the overall match statistics for the Indonesian national team were also superior to the Thai national team in the second round.
