Abstract

Muscle exhaustions on athletes during their training sessions can be a result of their aerobic threshold. Aerobic threshold is the body's limit in doing aerobic activities that requires vast amount of oxygen. Swimming athletes have high aerobic threshold due to the small movements they took to intake oxygen while swimming because their body retained enough oxygen inside. Highest oxygen consumption during exercises in their maximum capacity is called VO2 Max that serves as the cardiovascular power. Scientists are challenged to scientifically prove an analysis in aerobic thresholds within Hiu Surabaya and Millenium Surabaya Club. This research aims to unfolds aerobic capabilities analytically in HIU Surabaya and Millenium Surabaya swimming athletes. We use purposive approach that involves 16 swimmers within age range of 17-23 years old in HIU Surabaya and Millenium Surabaya swimming club. Subjects are males within Senior Age Group-1. Comparative designs were used in this research. Data collections are done by surveillance and a 12 minutes Cooper Swimming Tests to members of HIU Surabaya and Millenium Surabaya. The results show that Hiu Surabaya's athletes have an average T score of 934,38 whilst Millenium Surabaya's athletes held an average score of 931,25. The scores were concluded as a sufficient score since around 50% of the members were participative in routine exercises. We hope that this research results can motivate trainers and athletes in increasing their aerobic threshold to reach further achievements and also strive in having better body conditions
