ANALYSIS OF DOMINANT TECHNICAL SKILLS TO DETERMINE THE VICTORY OF THE BOJONEGORO HANDBALL TEAM IN THE VII PORPROV MATCH IN JEMBER IN 2022

Abstract

Handball is a team sport that is quite popular in Indonesia. Currently, the sport of Handball has spread to several international locations and categories. To determine the success of a team, coaches need match analysis because they can provide data and match descriptions to coaches and players. The research aims to find, process, and analyze the facts of dominant skills and techniques used by athletes through a video match on the Bojonegoro men's team at the 2022 East Java Porprov which was held in Jember City. This research method focuses on descriptive quantitative research analysis of information presented in printed or digital form, including images, text, and other media. The most performed technique by Bojonegoro team players is the passing technique with 41% of all techniques performed during the semifinals and finals in the VII porprov championship as many as 705 passes, among the passing performed using the chest pass technique 18%, overhead pass as much as 11%, underhand pass as much as 1%, javeline pass/baseball pass 5%, side pass as much as 4%, and reverse pass passes off as much as 1%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there are two very dominant techniques in the match, namely the passing technique. In order to be able to master and maintain the position of the ball, the team can master and can make a pattern of game strategy quickly and precisely on the offense.
