Nutritional knowledge is very important for athletes because to achieve peak athlete performance and perfect health requires a diet that suits their needs and activities. The participants in this study were 54 hockey athletes, 30 men and 24 women. This study uses descriptive quantitative method with survey method and uses purposive sampling technique. In this study the majority of nutritional knowledge in male hockey athletes was classified as sufficient (61 ± 11.84) and in female hockey athletes was also classified as sufficient (59.58 ± 16.61). The majority of eating patterns of male hockey athletes are classified as sufficient (16.3 ± 3.00) and female hockey athletes are also sufficient (15.87 ± 3.02). There was no significant difference between male and female hockey athletes on their nutritional knowledge and diet. It is important to educate hockey athletes because to achieve maximum athlete performance also requires good nutritional knowledge so that athletes can maintain a good diet too.
