PENERAPAN METODE RESITASI KELOMPOK BERBASIS KARAKTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI TKR I DI SMK PGRI 1 SIDOARJO

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Pendidikan karakter merupakan pendidikan yang tepat untuk diterapkan di
sekolah manapun khususnya di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) karena selain
mendidik siswa untuk peningkatan hasil belajar juga mendidik siswa dalam
berperilaku. Hal yang terjadi di lapangan, siswa yang memiliki prilaku tidak baik
adalah siswa yang tidak tuntas belajar dan kurangnya aktivitas siswa dalam berdiskusi.
Berdasarkan kajian tersebut, salah satu upaya adalah dengan penerapan metode
resitasi kelompok berbasis karakter. Tujuan dari penerapan metode ini adalah untuk
meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan siswa dapat
berperilaku berkarakter seperti jujur, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab dalam
pembelajaran.
Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode resitasi kelompok
berbasis karakter dengan subjek siswa kelas XI TKR I dan aktivitas guru mengajar di
SMK PGRI 1 Sidoarjo dengan menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).
Setiap siklus ada empat tahap yakni tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan
refleksi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi
aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, hasil tes, dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data yang
diperoleh adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa dan
angket respon siswa diukur menggunakan skala likert sedangkan hasil belajar siswa
secara individu diperoleh dari nilai kerja sama (20% dari nilai kelompok), nilai
partisipasi dan komunikasi (diskusi) (10% dari nilai kelompok), nilai tanggung jawab
individu (10% dari nilai kelompok) dan nilai tes kelompok (60% dari nilai kelompok),
keempat nilai tersebut jika ditambahkan merupakan nilai maksimal individu. Hasil
belajar klasikal dapat tercapai apabila nilai siswa ≥ 78 dan ketuntasan klasikal ≥ 80%.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas guru dalam menerapkan RPP adalah
79% (baik). Aktivitas siswa selama mengikuti pembelajaran adalah 80% (baik).
Respon siswa terhadap penerapan metode resitasi kelompok berbasis karakter sangat
baik. Perilaku berkarakter siswa tergolong baik. Hasil belajar siswa yang tuntas pada
siklus I adalah 43 siswa dengan ketuntasan klasikal 75% dan pada siklus II adalah 51
siswa dengan ketuntasan klasikal 89%.

ABSTRACT
Character education is an education appropriate to be applied in any school
especially in Vocational High School (VHS) because in addition to educating students
to increase learning outcomes also educates students to behave. Things happen on the
fact, students who have behavior is not good a students who do not pass the study and
the lack of activity of students in discussion. Based on these studies, an effort be the
application of the method of character-based group recitation the group recitation
method character-based. The purpose of the application of this method is that it to

increase the activity of the teacher, student activity, student learning outcomes and
students can behave like an honest character, discipline, and responsibility in learn.
The object of this research is the application of the method of characterbased
group recitation by the subjects are students of class XI TKR I and teacher
activity at SMK PGRI 1 Sidoarjo with using this type of Classroom Action Research
(CAR).Each stage of the cycle, there are four stages of planning, implementation,
observation, and reflection. Data collection in this study using observation sheets
teacher activity, student activity, test results, and questionnaire responses of students.
The analisis data obtained are qualitative and quantitative data. Teacher activity,
student activity and student questionnaire responses were measured using a Likert
scale while individual student learning outcomes derived from the value of working
together (20% from group value), the value of participation and communication
(discussion) (10% from group value), the value of individual responsibility (10% from
group value) and value of the test group (60% from group value), if all of them are
added be individu value. Classical learning outcomes can be achieved if students
score ≥ 78 and ≥ 80% classical completeness.
The results showed the activity of teachers in implementing the RPP was
79% (good). Student activity during the study was 80% (good). Students' response to
the application of the recitation method based character very well. The behavior of
students classified as either character. Learning outcomes of students who completed
the first cycle is 43 students with classical completeness 75% and in the second cycle
is 51 students with classical completeness 89%.
