PENGARUH KOMPOSISI MIXING CLEAR GLOSS (VERNISH) TERHADAP KUALITAS HASIL PENGECATAN PADA KOMPONEN BODI KENDARAAN.

Di  zaman yang serba canggih dan modern ini cat merupakan suatu produk yang banyak dipakai untuk melapisi permukaan suatu bahan dengan tujuan memperindah, memperkuat, atau melindungi dari suatu permukaan benda. Belum adanya aturan yang jelas mengenai komposisi perbandingan campuran thinner dengan vernish pada hampir seluruh produk yang di jual dipasaran. Perbandingan campuran thinner dengan vernish yang tidak seimbang akan mempengaruhi hasil pada tingkat kekentalan, kekilauan cat, dan kesesuaian warna. Penulis melakukan penelitian tentang perbandingan campuran thinner dengan vernish dengan jumlah 1:0.5, 1:1, 1:2. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan  untuk mendapatkan perbandingan campuran antara thinner dengan vernish yang tepat agar mendapatkan kualitas hasil terbaik. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif deskriptif, yaitu dengan mendeskriptifkan data secara sistematis, faktual, dan akurat mengenai hasil yang diperoleh selama pengujian. Data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dimasukkan dalam tabel dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik. Selanjutkan dideskriptifkan dengan kalimat sederhana sehigga mudah dipahami untuk mendapatkan jawaban dari permasalahan yang diteliti. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan variasi 3 merk vernish yaitu DanaGloss PU X2, Blinken Diamon 9000, Galaxy HS 2800 dengan komposisi 20ml:10ml ; 20ml:20ml ; 20ml:40ml dengan thinner merk PU Dakar BC 30. Adapun hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan varian vernish Galaxy HS 2800 dengan komposisi perbandingan campuran 1:0.5 (20ml vernish : 10 ml thinner) yang mempunyai nilai kilau 102.7 GU, ketebalan 0,12mm dan kesesuaian warna mendekati cat standar pabrikan kendaraan.

In this modern and sophisticated era of paint is a product widely used to coat the surface of a material with the aim of beautifying, strengthening, or protecting from an object surface. The absence of clear rules on the composition of the blend of thinner mix with vernish on almost all products sold in the market. Comparison of thinner mix with an unbalanced vernish will affect the results on the level of viscosity, paint dullness, and color match. The author conducted a study on the ratio of thinner mix with vernish with the amount of 1: 0.5, 1: 1, 1: 2. This research is a type of experimental research that aims to get the ratio of mixture between thinner and vernish to get the best quality results. The method used is descriptive quantitative data analysis, by systematically, factually, and accurately describing the data obtained during the test. The data obtained from the research results are included in the table and displayed in graphical form. Continue descriptive with simple sentences so easy to understand to get answers from the problems studied. In this study the researchers used variations of 3 brands vernish DanaGloss PU X2, Blinken Diamon 9000, Galaxy HS 2800 with a composition of 20ml: 10ml; 20ml: 20ml; 20ml: 40ml with thinner brand PU Dakar BC 30. The results of this study recommend the use of vernish variant Galaxy HS 2800 with a composition ratio of 1: 0.5 mixture (20ml vernish: 10 ml thinner) which has a value of 102.7 GU luster, 0.12mm thickness and suitability of color near the standard paint of vehicle manufacturers Key Words: paint, thiner ,  vernish , the quality of the paint result.
